The Census Bureau says US population hit 292 Million as we rang in the New Year for 2004. for a rise of 2,816,586 or 1.0 percent above New Year's Day 2003.
In early September 2015, US reached 321,665,034 persons. World population now tops 7,270,350,229. (That seven B-billion!) China is still the most populous, with upwards of 1,367,485,388. India is second with 1,251,695,584. The US is third! (Yeah, that's us!)

The United States is currently registering about one birth every 8 seconds and one death every 13 seconds. Meanwhile, net international migration is adding one person every 32 seconds. The result is an increase in the total population of one person every 12 seconds. Feeling crowded, anyone?
