Yes! There's a real FREE LOOK at the FreeLook BookStore!
Not just an ad, not just a byte, not just a page!
Before you buy a book from the FreeLook BookStore, you can get
a real feel for the book. Read a whole story or more
even several chapters before you pay out its
princely cost. (That's a joke! None of our books costs
more than $4.95!)
Here's how it works: When you're considering one of our books,
click on the blue link (usually the book's name) on one of our
book-information screens. The link takes you to our "Buy or
Look" page, and at that point you can click on our "Take Free
Look" button to sample the book. The size of the "look" depends on the
size of the book, but you'll see an exact replica of the book
itself . . . only shorter. If you like what you read, come
back and buy the book.
Getting around inside the samples: Every Free Look uses the
same format as the book you buy. The book cover has the same
picture. You can click on the book notes to read about the
book, its author, copyright date, and other information.
Be sure to look over the entire table of contents; that's an
especially useful feature, because it includes a line or two
from each successive chapter. You get the flavor of the whole
book that way. Then click the "Open Book" link and you're
in!
That's all there is to it.
Oh yes, one more thing: Our huge selection of
Classics Club
books all use the same format and work the same way, including
the table-of-contents feature. And if you'd like to
sample one of those books, in addition to looking at our
booklist and author list pages, skip over to the
E-Zine and download a whole
Classics Club book. Free! Yep, have one on us. After all,
we're the FreeLook BookStore. And we prove it, too!
