Roam? Or Work At Home?

< Prev Tip | Next Tip >

They're everywhere - in the newspaper, on the Internet, on the television and pasted on store windows and street lamps.

Ads for work-at-home opportunities may look appealing, but are they all they promise to be? Not necessarily. Learn more with Work-at-Home Schemes from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. Find out about classic schemes and con-games, and questions you should ask to find real opportunities. Be careful! There are preditors out there who would love to steal your money, waste your time, build expectations, and then disappear. Ahhh - how sweet life can be!

This publication costs only fifty cents. For your copy, call the FCIC, Federal Consumer Information Center, in Pueblo, Colorado, toll-free, at 1-888-8-PUEBLO (1-888-878-3256) and ask for Item 377-J. Have your credit card handy. Or send your name, address and a check or money order for fifty cents to the Federal Consumer Information Center, Dept. 377J, Pueblo, CO 81009.

By the way! There are thousands of other documents at the FCIC, all available from the same number and address. Ask for a catalog and you may find just the help you've always been looking for but have never found. Might as well do it -- your tax dollars are helping to pay for it all!

For a homebody like me, that about does it.
